The Carr House

The Carr House is an historic cabin situated in Carr Canyon near Sierra Vista, Arizona. It has been renovated and opened to provide information and education to the public regarding the Huachuca Mountains. Exhibits and an easy nature trail walk to the Todd/Healy Ranch are featured.

The Carr House is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays through the last weekend in October.

The Carr House is staffed by our host, Mike Foster, and volunteer greeters. If you are interested in becoming a greeter or volunteering in another capacity, please click on the Volunteer tab at the top of the page.

Free programs dealing with many topics pertinent to the Huachucas and the surrounding area are presented every other Sunday at 1:30 p.m. These programs begin the first weekend in May and culminate in October. For the schedule of programs in 2022, please click on the Events tab.

The Carr House is fully accessible and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Maximum occupancy of Carr House is 49 persons.

The nature trail is open from dawn to dusk every day. The trail can be accessed from the Perimeter Trail parking area if Carr House is closed.
