Dear Friends,

It looks like warmer weather is on the way, so it’s time to start thinking about getting out and exploring our beautiful Huachuca Mountains. Carr House will open for the season on March 31, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you to another great year!

Our site hosts, Karen and John Poole, have spent the last several months making improvements to the house. You’ll see a newly refurbished bathroom next to the program room and new holders for trail maps, among other things. Volunteers are worth their weight in gold, especially when they have the expertise to help keep an old building like Carr House in good shape. The Pooles will be leaving us shortly, but we hope to have new site hosts soon. Thanks, John and Karen! See you in the fall!

MEMBERS NEEDED!
Don’t forget to renew your membership! Annual dues are $15 for an individual or $25 for a family. Please encourage your friends and family to become members too. You can join or renew on our website, www.huachucamountains.org, where you’ll also find up-to-date information, newsletters, links to videos posted by Mike Foster all about our beautiful mountains, important dates, and information on upcoming events. There’s strength in numbers!

SPEAKING OF WEBSITES…
Our website will soon have a new look! We hope to have it up in the next couple of weeks, so remember to check it out! Be sure to “like” us on Facebook too! You can find information on our programs and events and browse through our photo gallery. It’s another way to stay informed and involved.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON PROGRAMS START MAY 6!
We have some great programs lined up for this year, and we’re working on bringing in some new ones to fill out the schedule. We’ll send out the program list as soon as it’s complete so you can mark your calendars.

Remember that occupancy in Carr House is limited to 49 people, so once we reach that limit, we’ll be “live-streaming” the programs to our outside patio area so more audience members can be included.

HELP WANTED!
We’re having a work day at Carr House on Friday, March 23, at 9 a.m. to get the house back in order for the new season. If you’re free that morning and would like to pitch in, we could certainly use the help! Hope to see you then!
